EQCALL PTY LTD (ACN 627 299 736), trading as Startiup ("we", "us"), runs the Startiup Idea Computer. We collect as little as we can, and we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in, send your login links and tell you when a build is ready or did not finish.
- Your ideas: the name and description you type, and the prototype and source files built from them.
- Payment records: how many credits you bought, the amount and the date. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Technical information: your IP address and basic request logs, used to keep the service secure and to stop abuse (for example, too many login attempts).
How we use it
- To provide the service: build, host and deliver your prototype, keep your account and credits, and send you the emails the service needs.
- To give support and fix problems.
- To keep the service safe and lawful, including the automatic check every idea goes through before a build.
We do not sell your personal information or your ideas. We do not use your ideas for anything other than building and delivering your prototype. We do not send marketing emails.
Your ideas stay private
Our support and admin tools are built so that our team does not see your idea's name, description or prototype link. We only look at an idea itself if you ask us to (for example, in a support request), or if we need to in order to investigate misuse or meet a legal obligation. Note that your prototype's live link is public for 7 days: anyone who has the link can open it.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the service. They only receive what they need to do their job:
- AI providers (Anthropic, and other model providers through OpenRouter) process your idea to generate the prototype.
- Fly.io runs the temporary computers that build each prototype. Each one is deleted when the build finishes.
- Cloudflare hosts your live prototype link.
- Stripe processes payments.
- SendGrid (Twilio) sends our emails.
- Contabo hosts our website and database.
- Google Fonts supplies the screen font, so your browser requests it from Google.
These providers are based in, or store data in, the United States, the European Union and other countries. By using the service you agree to your information being handled overseas by them. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
We use one essential cookie (ic_sid) to keep you signed in. Your browser also remembers a few settings on your own device: sound on or off, caps on or off, that you have seen the cookie notice, and an idea you typed before signing in (kept for 2 hours). Stripe sets its own cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, or analytics.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, credit history and source files while your account is open, so you can always download your files. Live links go offline after 7 days. Payment records are kept as long as Australian tax law requires. When you ask us to close your account, we delete or de-identify the rest unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security
Login links work once and expire after 15 minutes. We store only scrambled (hashed) versions of login links and session ids. All traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email [email protected] or use the contact form. We will reply within 30 days.
If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
